Polyfabrics Australasia understands the importance of selecting the correct tree guard for your revegetation and landscaping projects. Check out their Tubex Tree Guard product range to see which product fits your project today.
Tubex has been at the forefront of shelter development since it was first discovered in the early 1980s. With years of industry expertise and know-how, Polyfabrics Australasia offers a range of tree guard solutions. The Polyfabrics Tubex Tree Guard range is designed to provide plant protection and enhanced growth, while the guards blend in subtly with the natural environment. Tubex Tree Guards protect plants from curious animals and are specifically designed to provide the right solution to help plants thrive.
To make sure your next project is a success, Polyfabrics offers three specialised shelters to suit a range of specifying needs.
Shelterguard | The most popular shelter is designed to blend subtly into the natural environment. It gives the benefits of enhanced growth through the microclimate and allows the plant to acclimatise to the outside environment through its two-staged degradation process. The polyethylene film welded to the square mesh starts to degrade after approximately three seasons, gradually exposing the plant to the outside environment, allowing the bark to harden.
Combietube | Recommended for more exposed sites, the Combietube combines the benefits of a solid base for improved tree establishment and reliable protection. A ventilated upper section allows the tree to acclimatise before emerging from the shelter. This allows the wind rock to strengthen the root and stem while also hardening the tree bark.
Vinewrap | This is designed for vines and fruit trees, providing enhanced plant protection while also allowing access to the vine for maintenance. The Vinewrap has a twin-walled tube that has been split vertically, enabling it to wrap around a vine and expand with the plant as it grows. It can also be installed and removed easily for bud rubbing and inspection. It provides protection against animal browsing, herbicide sprays and accidental damage during mechanical weeding.
