While Woodstock had some great music, it’s got nothing on Sydney’s Rootstock Festival – a celebration of  music, wine, food and art, based on the philosophies of artisan, sustainable, authentic, natural, organic and biodynamic.

A range of workshops will be on offer, including: the benefits of growing food at home, how to make a successful worm farm, facts about food waste, and how to create a green wall at home.

The hub will join around 60 exhibits at the prestigious annual food and drink festival including chefs from Billy Kwong and Longrain. Experts will include local horticulturalists, the City’s green roofs and walls project officer and industry leaders from Foodwise and the Royal Agricultural Society.

A temporary green wall will be installed at the site for inspiration and free seed packets will be handed out to help visitors get their green wall or garden started.

Rootstock Sydney will be held at the Carriageworks, Eveleigh on February 8 and 9. For more information about the event go to www.rootstocksydney.com
