Queensland Arboricultural Association (QAA)
Association Profile
Founded in 1992, the Queensland Arboricultural Association Inc. (QAA) is a not-for-profit incorporated association representing arborists in Queensland and northern New South Wales. For 30 years, the QAA has continued to grow in membership numbers, recognition and esteem and continues to advocate on behalf of its members and raise awareness of arboriculture in the public domain.
QAA proudly provides educational opportunities, training and events for its members to showcase safety through best arboricultural practice.
Mission Statement
Our purpose is to preserve, protect, maintain and enhance the recreational and environmental value of trees. As our industry learns
to adapt and grow it is the QAA's responsibility to lead by example.
Our mission is to provide support and guidance to the arborist industry and our members. We can do this by:
- Finding new educational topics and methods
- Taking part in safety and standards conversations
- Providing new opportunities for our community to interact and evolve
- Finding new ways to give back to our community
QAA Membership Categories
QAA is an inclusive association and invites all arboricultural service providers to join its membership. Membership categories include:
- QAA Register of Approved Contractors and Consultants*
- Qualified Member
- Corporate Member
- General Member
- Student Member
*Eligibility criteria include Diploma Arboriculture (AQFV) qualification for Consultants and AQF Certificate III in Arboriculture for Contractors, appropriate levels of experience for respective registers and current insurances including professional, product and liability insurances.

All listed QAA Members included in this edition of Outdoor Design Source (ODS) have met the qualification criteria and are listed on the QAA Register of Qualified Arboricultural Contractors and Consultants. This register is regularly updated as each new application is approved.
