The picturesque Darwin Esplanade just got the ultimate lookout! A 10m high climbing net and super slide like no other. This extraordinary and unique play space is the perfect intergenerational meeting place, with something for everyone to enjoy.

Urban Play and NT Shade were award principle contractors, tasked with creating a space that brought the esplanade to life through play. Drawing inspiration from the local landscape and its relationship with the water, the play space complements the tranquillity of the environment with the vibrant life within the City of Darwin.

The end result is a socially interactive space for the entire community to enjoy, incorporating passive, active, educational and social play activities for all ages and abilities. Through climbing, swinging, sliding, hanging and resting – children have various opportunities to develop and strengthen physical, social and emotional well-being.

The outdoor fitness equipment is designed to inspire and motivate with accessible and effective training solutions for ALL fitness abilities. Connected by a digital app, it will help guide, motivate and connect people with local trainers in the area. Recently awarded a Good Design Award, this equipment truly is revolutionary in nature, getting people outside, active and healthy!
