Wood chip and sand surfacing solutions can be satisfactory at installation, but are not typically ADA compliant and require consistent attention, particularly in high use areas.

Play Matta™ Scuff Pads are made from a two-layered system of durable modular tiles over impact absorbing shock pads, which couples the cushioning of recycled rubber and XPE Foam, with the exceptional durability of safe flexible recycled PVC. Play Matta™ Scuff Pads integrate seamlessly with surrounding loose fill surfacing such as woodchip or sand.

Play Matta™ Scuff Pads ensure a high use scuff zones or ADA accessible areas are consistently compliant and protected against water pooling and hollowing — keeping a playground open and compliant year-round, as intended.
