ALLIANZ STADIUM

In 2022, the construction of the new Sydney Football Stadium, known as Allianz Stadium was completed. It is home to high profile tenants, such as the Sydney Roosters, NSW Waratahs and Sydney FC.

To match the state-of-the-art facility, there was a desire to create an installation featuring culturally vibrant artwork to surround the fitness equipment and the wider access areas.

Bringing it to life was APT agent, Glooloop Surfacing, who was engaged to create an artistic installation to complement the stadium.

The artwork design was curated by indigenous artist Dennis Golding of the Kamilaroi/Gamilaraay people. The original design was revised after the artist was inspired by the Melos rubber softfall colour chart provided by the Glooloop Surfacing team.

The revised design turned out to be vibrant and captivating from every angle. The Melos rubber softfall installation was executed with meticulous accuracy, paying homage to the artwork and showcasing the team’s expertise.
