STREET FURNITURE LIGHTS THE WAY
08 Mar 2017
TRJ Engineering is at the forefront of incorporating LED technology into everyday street furniture, enhancing the outdoor experience and encouraging people to explore and exercise outdoors after dark.
TRJ Engineering strive to innovate on a daily basis! Every week the TRJ management team gets together to brainstorm new ideas and directions in order to ensure the company remains in sync with the needs of the industry and is encouraged to undertake new challenges that help it operate at the leading edge of the field.
The exciting part is, not only are times changing in the engineering industry, there are also large advances happening in technology. One of the challenges that TRJ is keen to develop is integrated LED safety lighting for use at night. TRJ has been in development to combine LED lighting with their street furniture range with the intent to create dramatic and functional products that improve conditions in public spaces at night.
TRJ Engineering has teamed up with Australia’s leading LED handrail specialists ’Lumorail’ to bring about a new series of LED products specifically designed around their vast range of street furniture. This partnership enables TRJ to combine their expertise in street furniture with Lumorail’s experience of LED lighting and incorporate it into almost all current and evolving TRJ products. Imagine a gentle glow of light enhancing the visual aspect of a park, with soft hues guiding users through the space by way of bollards, seats, handrails, tree guards and bins that get brighter as you approach!
Another exciting aspect of LED lighting is its flexibility. The ability to adjust hue and brightness in LED lighting opens up a range of possibilities for contributions to public events. For example, on St Patrick's Day the lighting could glow green, while during Melbourne's White Night festival lighting could rotate through the full colour spectrum to enhance the overall display of visual illusion during the event. With street furniture with integrated LED lighting, imagine the potential for enhancing public spaces and contributing to public events from the ground up.
TRJ also believe that street furniture with integrated LED lighting can provide a safer environment in poorly lit areas. Well-lit areas with enhanced street furniture would encourage the public to remain active outdoors long after the sun sets.
At TRJ Engineering street furniture is not just 'typical', it is an experience!
