TRJ IN CHAPEL STREET
07 Sep 2016
With the assistance of TRJ Engineering, the City of Stonnington is upgrading a section of Chapel Street with new street furniture to enhance the public space and make it community friendly.
After many years of being the preferred street furniture supplier to a variety of city Councils, TRJ Engineering is taking its expertise to even greater heights with a new project, revamping the exclusive Chapel Street in the City of Stonnington, Victoria, with a range of custom-made street furniture.
As specialists in street furniture, TRJ Engineering were contracted to supply a complex new seating arrangement for Chapel Street. Utilising a range of individual pieces, the new arrangement combines to create one seamless piece; ensuring a unique seating array with the potential to become a new landmark in this well-known location.
The new seating design from TRJ differs from other styles of seating in its construction. Small wedge-shaped segments are joined together to create a curved structure, producing an artful yet functional seating fixture that is practical, robust and comfortable to sit on. Produced in a range of colours, utilising a selection of materials, and with inbuilt LED lighting, the upgraded seats create a new ‘vibe’ in this exclusive area.
At the forefront of their field, TRJ has been responsible for the refurbishment of a number of projects throughout Melbourne, including:
- Street Furniture fabrication | Docklands precinct, Melbourne
- Main Street upgrade | City of Dandenong
- Supply of street furniture and light poles | Eaton Mall, Oakleigh
