QIC GLOBAL (image 1)
Claude Baxter didn’t want to settle for a boring old bin! Created for QIC Global, the intention behind this being was to discreetly but effectively communicate source separation to the user - without the bin being an overpowering feature in the space.
Original artwork was laser cut into the body of the receptacle while the finished colour was created to complement the surrounding space, making this product a durable and functional feature of the area that does not impact the overall scheme.
HARBOUR TOWN SHOPPING CENTRE (image 2)
To match the newly built waterside decking at the Harbour Town Shopping Centre, it was important that the bins manufactured by Draffin fit the environment and were extremely durable, given the proximity to corrosive salt water.
The Harbour Town bins were created from electropolished marine grade stainless, to ensure absolute corrosion protection, and feature clear coated iron bark battens that match the decking of the area. 
MAROONDAH CITY COUNCIL (image 3)
As part of a unique suite of furniture designed by Andrew Gibbs, the Maroondah City Council bin surround is no shrinking violet. The incredible design of this humble receptacle is really what makes a feature of the bin in this suite. The modern lines and angular design allow it to clearly communicate function and use to the user and make a visual statement that complements the surroundings. 
CITY OF PERTH (image 4)
For the growing metropolis that is Perth, Council appointed designers developed a range of furniture to enhance and modernise the streetscapes in a reflection of the urban advancements the city is making. Expertly manufactured in stainless steel by Draffin, the highly modern design of the Perth City bins completely met the needs of the design brief. 
ROYAL AUSTRALIAN MINT (image 5)
As a popular tourist destination, the Royal Australian Mint needed a bin that would fit in with the beautifully maintained grounds, but also strongly communicate source separation to the user to ensure effective recycling could be achieved. The final result was an effective and elegant solution that more than adequately met the project specifications.
