Scuff Turf™ is renowned for its high-wear resistance and ability to grow in previously problematic areas, as well as the final growths soft feel. Ozbreed has approached the problem of hard to grow areas for turf breeding in a way that hasn’t compromised on the final result for users.
By utilising innovative and specialised reinforcement mesh, the semi rigid plastic Scuff Turf™ protects the ground from being compacted and stops the grass stolons, leaf and roots from being worn out. The product is ideal for erosion control in high-traffic areas as the strong reinforcement mesh helps bind soils and handles high water flows.
Scuff Turf™ is super-wear tolerant, yet still soft for even the most sensitives of users, like our children and pets. Once established, the lawn covers Scuff Turf™ meaning that the finished look and feel is natural and soft to touch.
Previously, in hard to grow areas, such finished results were achieved through laborious processes of layering turf, pegging and top-dressing. Today, it is possible to by instant Scuff Turf™ and lay it like normal turf, saving you time and energy overall.
At this stage, Scuff Turf™ is available in Kenda® Kikuyu, Ozbreed hopes to offer additional breeds such as Sapphire® Buffalo in the future. While Scuff Turf™ is available in VIC and NSW Ozbreed is also hoping to find additional growers nationwide.
