RACV Club – “Blue Tree in a Red Landscape” - how granite helped to commemorate the “Black Saturday” tragedy.

KHD Landscape Engineering Solutions (KHD) was honoured to supply the granite for a very special bush fire commemorative piece located at the RACV Club in Healesville, Victoria.
The monument, designed by Tract Architects and built by PTA Landscapes, was commissioned to reflect and acknowledge the role the RACV Club played in assisting the local community during the tragic Black Saturday event.

The piece represents the strength of Human Spirit rising through the intensely rich blue structure from the black landscape signifying the renewal of life from the water below. It also reflects the trees in the built environment and the linear form of architecture in this building.
The Granite supplied by KHD was manufactured to specific specifications and its solid Pearl-Black colour and polished finish provide an amazing clear reflection.
KHD were proud to be part of this project and pleased that the granite supplied formed an integral part of this very special commemorative piece.
