The epitome of landscaping excellence was unveiled at the Landscape Queensland Gala Awards Dinner held at the prestigious Brisbane Sofitel Hotel on Saturday, 18 November 2023. Hosted by 97.3fm breakfast host Terry Hansen, the evening shone a spotlight on outstanding residential and commercial landscaping projects across Queensland, culminating in the prestigious titles of QLD Landscape Construction of the Year for both Residential and Commercial segments.
A Night of Glamour and Innovation
The industry's crème de la crème embraced a touch of glamour as they traded hardworking boots for an evening of celebration. Amidst the clinking of champagne glasses, participants presented an astounding array of entries, leading to a remarkable display of Winners and Highly Commended Awards. The Awards highlighted the exceptional quality and innovation prevailing in the industry. Notably, the significant presence of Landscaping Apprentices underscored the promising future that lies ahead for the sector, especially with Brisbane set to host the 2032 Olympics. The state's parks, gardens, and outdoor lifestyle will be on a global stage, emphasising the pivotal role of the landscaping industry in shaping the city's aesthetic appeal. Notable Winners
Boss Gardenscapes clinched the title of Queensland Residential Landscape Construction of the Year for their Red Hill project, while Eureka Landscapes secured victory in the Queensland Commercial Landscape Construction of the Year category for their Neumann Park project at Yarrabilba.
Acknowledging Exceptional Standards
Derryn De Ceuster, CEO of Landscape Queensland, commended all entrants for maintaining exceptional standards despite facing challenges such as weather disruptions and staff shortages. She emphasised that this year's awards program underscored the high-level skills and professionalism of Landscape Queensland members. Derryn also highlighted the diversity and excitement reflected in the landscape projects across the state, as evident in this year's awards entries.
