Queensland’s top landscaping professionals celebrated at Brisbane City Hall in a night of prestige, innovation and community.
The 40th Landscape Queensland Construction Excellence Awards Gala was a night to remember, marking a historic milestone for the landscaping industry. Held on Saturday, 9 November 2024, the event welcomed 550 attendees to the iconic Brisbane City Hall, a venue transformed into a vibrant celebration of the industry’s best.
Guests arrived to a spectacular sight at King George Square, beautifully lit to set the tone for the evening. The atmosphere was enhanced by the presence of Centenary Landscaping Supplies, the Principal Awards Partner, whose iconic trucks framed the entrance. Brisbane City Hall dazzled as a warm and welcoming space, embodying the celebration of innovation, craftsmanship, and community spirit.
Hosted by celebrity MC Terry Hansen, a long-time supporter of the industry, the night unfolded with humor, warmth, and heartfelt moments that resonated with all in attendance.
Celebrating the Best of the Best
The night’s top honours went to Boss Gardenscapes, who claimed the Residential Construction of the Year Award for their exquisite Bardon project, and Glascott Landscape & Civil, who took home the Commercial Construction of the Year title for their transformative work on the CREEC Adventure Playground in Burpengary.
Derryn De Ceuster, CEO of Landscape Queensland, praised the industry’s achievements, "This year’s Awards Gala celebrated four decades of transformative landscaping in Queensland. The entries showcased not only exceptional craftsmanship but also an industry dedicated to pushing the boundaries of creativity and sustainability."

A particularly poignant moment was the induction of Lindsay Pratt of Harmony Landscapes into the Landscape Queensland Hall of Fame. Recognised for his visionary leadership and dedication to advancing the profession, Lindsay’s contributions continue to inspire future generations of landscapers.

A Night of Community, Fun and Generosity
The Gala was not just about accolades. Guests enjoyed live music by Brisbane band Imessa, a sumptuous dinner and an inviting space for connection. The evening also made a meaningful contribution to mental health in the trades industry, with ticket sales enabling a $3,000 donation to This Is A Conversation Starter, a mental health initiative by Trade Mutt.
