A GREENER PLAY FUTURE

In an effort to help reduce carbon emissions, KOMPAN now offers playground solutions that come with third-party certified recyclability and carbon emission percentages.
For a brighter future for our children, we all must carry the responsibility of lowering carbon emissions. According to United Nations, we need to reduce carbon by 45 percent before 2030 to ensure that the global temperature doesn't exceed 1.5 degrees.
Within the parks and recreation sectors, more than 80 percent of carbon emissions come from raw materials; therefore, KOMPAN has chosen the challenging path to develop new secondary sustainable raw materials, which come with up to 75 percent reduction in carbon emissions.
As a result of KOMPAN's ongoing research and innovative manufacturing methods, they can now offer total playground solutions that come with third-party certified recyclability and carbon emission percentages.
Together with KOMPAN, the choice is now yours, and you have the opportunity to build sustainable and playful solutions for Australian communities with either MADE Green or BORN Green materials.
GreenLine, KOMPAN's newest product line, is manufactured using ground-breaking new materials that have been thoroughly researched, tested, and manufactured from post-consumer products. Waste sources include ocean waste, used textiles, and food packaging waste that has been given a new lease of life.
Since 1960, the world's textile waste has increased by 800 percent. By using post-consumer textiles and plastic bags, KOMPAN has been able to convert the poorest of textile waste into a raw material called TexMade™, which offers an alternative to steel posts and has a calculation of 50 percent reduction in carbon emissions.
Globally, fishing nets are the biggest plastic polluter in the ocean, with more than 640,000 tonnes of fishing gear being discarded into the sea annually. KOMPAN is now using fishery waste to create 100 percent post-consumer ocean waste for structural play panels.
Rotomoulded components are now being manufactured with 25 percent post-consumer ocean recycled waste. Low carbon extruded aluminium is being used for all parts and fittings, and BLOQX™ climbing panels and decks can now be delivered in 75 percent post-consumer ocean recycled waste.
Alternatively, if you are looking to create a more natural playground, Robinia products are the ideal choice, as the timber is harvested from sustainable forests.
This is only the start of KOMPAN's journey, and they look forward to working with you to create healthier and happier Australian communities - in a sustainable way.
