ARROW ALPHA'S HEAVY DUTY NOTICE BOARD TAKES CENTRE STAGE

When Burnside City Council commissioned Roger Goss of Bullseye Creative in South Australia to design a Notice Board with a difference for their community garden project, he certainly didn't disappoint.

Roger researched the market place for a heavy duty Notice Board Case and decided on the Arrow Alpha HD1. The design features of the HD1 appealed to Roger as he wanted a case to withstand the elements. The HD1 offers a 50mm marine grade aluminium frame, a burn, shatter and UV resistant polycarbonate lens with anti-graffiti film, a full length stainless steel hinge, a key-lockable door and gas struts for ease of use. Roger contacted Arrow Alpha to place an order for the HD1 and opted for Manor Red Dulux powder coat.

With the HD1's construction underway, Roger got busy with the other components of the project. He wanted to offer an organic point of reference for the community garden project and move away from architectural geometry. This was achieved by centring the sign and notice board case on a pole that flowed in a curve rather than the usual straight post we see everywhere. He used a 125mm rolled main beam and enlisted the expertise of artistic blacksmith, Chris Fuller to produce a vine and leaves to creep up the main beam. Once completed, the entire structure was hot dip galvanised and painted in Solver Duraguard. A 3mm lazer cut alloy disc was then powder coated and the logo and associated print were digitally printed and applied.

Roger's final step in the process was to install his creation at the Chapel Street Community Garden Project designed by WAX landscape design. The end result is an interactive, changeable sign where the community liaison can communicate efficiently with the Garden's users to inform them of upcoming workshops and programs.
