BE A BETTER PRECASTER 2023
30 Aug 2023
Build a great business and reduce your risk. Enjoy three days of learning and fun with precasters and its suppliers, hosted by industry peak body, National Precast Concrete Association Australia (National Precast).
According to National Precast CEO Sarah Bachmann, this year’s conference is themed less around technical aspects of precast and more about the kind of businesses that precasters want to build and be more successful.
“This includes reducing operational risk, better managing human resources and accessing new products and technologies,” she says.
These insights were gathered by the industry body following the collation of inquiries from over 100 precasters during the year, including their responses to a survey.
Who is it for?
Precasters, established and especially newer companies, and those who work with them, as suppliers and partners, who want and believe they can do better. Members and non-members are equally welcome.
Duration | Three days, Monday, 30th October to Wednesday, 1st November 2023.
Location | Crown Plaza Hotel, in the beautiful Sydney beachside location of Coogee.
National Precast CEO Sarah Bachmann believes this conference is more targeted to the needs of precasters, so offers more direct value to each attending company.
“With support from our Conference Partner, Leviat, we will be bringing together leaders in the precast industry from around the country, providing a wonderful opportunity to catch up with friends old and new, and learn of new products”.
Why you should attend?.
- Well-purposed educational sessions, presented by partner organisations.
- An entertaining exhibition of leading edge products and technologies, with scope to dig deep.
- An interactive factory tour that will open your mind.
- Plenty of networking opportunities to meet precasters across Australia and share on matters of interest, taking lessons you can use in your operations, amidst great entertainment and good food.
- Address National Precast face-to-face on your wants and concerns, and getting agreed action or solutions.
- Learn what National Precast is doing and planning for the benefit of the industry.
The Conference sees the introduction of a Hawaiian-themed ‘Welcome Reception and Exhibition’, showcasing new products from over 15 suppliers.
“We have created an exhibition to help precasters who tend to focus in their business to spend a little time to work on their business. The ability to engage first hand with new products and technologies is a unique opportunity to get out and see what can work for you, and make you an even better precaster.”
The line-up of speakers for the full day Conference is impressive, with some of the presentation topics including tough contracting (with success), meeting supply challenges in big projects, creating healthy working environments and overcoming the new multi-employer bargaining provisions of the Fair Work Act. The idea is to then work with members and precasters in general to improve areas of interest, like human resource management, heading into 2024.
The main Conference day will be followed by an underwater-themed Networking Dinner overlooking the water at Coogee’s Ocean Room, with entertainment and prizes! And on the final day, for members, there is a visit to the Metro West tunnel segment factory, another unique opportunity.
“We’re taking steps to ultimately create an event that is considered useful to all who attend, not merely interesting or entertaining, and that draws all those who manufacture, supply, specify or use precast to work together even better,” says Bachmann.
“And we want to make being in business more fun. Come along and see what your peers, the presenters, exhibitors and also, National Precast, have to offer. Share information, build new relationships and learn a lot.”
“We especially welcome precasters who are not members of National Precast,” says Bachmann.
Those who are not members will have the opportunity to sit down with Sarah and Board members to discuss how National Precast can help them grow better. You guessed it, a range of unique opportunities.
Last word comes from Dino Pietrobon of Bianco Precast, in Adelaide: “We’re back. Having experienced the camaraderie of the social events and great feedback from the last conference, it is obvious that National Precast has progressed to a whole new level, offering value on so many different fronts.”
