BE INSPIRED BY NATURAL TIMBER
30 Aug 2023
There is true beauty in natural timber play pieces. Play Workshop has been crafting new playspace ideas with the launch of their new website. Featuring all new ranges of natural log structures and climbing equipment as well as an expanded nature play range, all made using locally sourced Australian hardwood.
Sustainability is key, with timbers from the inland New South Wales region including Red Ironbark, White Cypress, Spotted Gum and Yellow Box. With multiple sources and suppliers of logs and branches, the expert team at Play Workshop can find just about anything to suit any project, from small straight lengths to massive forked logs, to something more unusual and interesting.
Play Workshop offers a range of swings using both milled timber and natural logs, along with Australian-made slides, both in plastic and stainless steel. Including their Side-by-SlideTM developed in conjunction with Touched by Oliva and parents of children who use mobility devices. This truly inclusive slide allows users to slide with carer support and offers a safe transfer space to mobility devices without interrupting the flow of play.
Play Workshop continues to work with designers and landscape architects to create custom playspaces, and can source feature logs and character pieces for any design. The teams in-house artist works with timber, sandstone and terrazzo to add special touches, making each playspace unique.
Play Workshop is a creative space, not a factory. Their new ranges can be customized to suit any space and they specialise in working collaboratively with designers to bring their visions to life. All equipment is made to order locally in Sydney and can be shipped Australia-wide.
Full product specifications including CAD downloads are available for all products for easy inclusion in designs. Play Workshop can assist with designs and also offer a full installation service.
This is only the beginning of what Play Workshop can do, keep watching for new ranges of interactive and sensory pieces to be launched soon. For more information and project examples visit their new website today via the links below.
