ACACIA IMPLEXA
Acacia implexa is a small to medium sized tree often used as a shade tree in streetscapes, parks and large urban areas. With the ability to adapt to various sites including coastal conditions, harsh rocky soils and is generally not harmed by frosts. Summer flowering, the Acacia implexa tree produces pale creamy-yellow to white globular flower heads.
LEPTOSPERMUM SCOPARIUM
Commonly called Mānuka or Tea Tree, the Leptospermum scoparium is highly prized by both beekeepers and gardeners. It is a frost hardy evergreen shrub with dainty white flowers and slender foliage, typical of leptospermum. A pioneer plant good for land regeneration projects, the shrub grows in sun or full shade and is perfect for hedging and wildlife gardens.
MALUS IOENSIS ‘PLENA’
Growing masses of gorgeous grouped fragrant double pink blossoms, that are then followed with small rounded purple fruits, Malus ioensis ‘Plena’ has one of the most striking spring floral displays. Narrow and soft foliage, with serrated margins that form a weeping habit, the Malus ioensis ‘Plena’ produces beautiful rich dark reds and oranges in Autumn. This small growing tree is a great choice for small to medium landscapes and perfect to invite the honeybees into your space.
