For those who own a landscape company, this is one event that will be crucial for the day-to-day running of their business. The course is delivered by successful landscape contractors who take attendees through their company’s own numbers to learn how to better plan and manage the business end of a landscape company.
“My belief is that the workshop will be the most constructive step a landscaper can take towards understanding and implementing the requirements one needs to run a successful business,” said Robert Stanton, LNA President.
“Today this has become imperative, taking into consideration how competitive the industry has become, inclement weather conditions and the current economic climate.”
Robert firmly believes that management skills need to be continuously upgraded to be on par with the changes and challenges faced in the industry, and urges all landscapers to take up the opportunity afforded by the workshop to build, develop and grow their businesses and survive through difficult times.
Mike Lysecki, Director of the LMN says, “Landscapers will learn how to build a plan for profit, what prices to charge for sub-contractors, equipment and labour, and how different pricing systems can lead to winning more desirable jobs.”
With a workshop run ‘by landscapers for landscapers’, WesTrac, LNA and LMN are confident that small to medium sized business will walk away with invaluable knowledge, tools and resources to successfully operate a landscaping business.
Justin Melton, General Manager of General Construction, the division of WesTrac which specialises in smaller scale industries such as landscaping and building said, “WesTrac has a vested interest in the success of the industries in which we operate and we see the value for our customers in these sorts of workshops; in our opinion what helps our customers helps us, so it was an easy decision to get involved.”
