An overwhelming response from Landscape Queensland members has resulted in an amazing garden makeover for a family in need.
Last month Landscape Queensland was contacted by Melissa Hammel whose daughter Chelsea has a rare condition resulting in several disabilities.
Through the generous support of companies large and small Melissa and her family had constructed a wheelchair-friendly new home in Jacob’s Well and were ready to move in but needed help with the landscaping.
LQ put the challenge out to members who volunteered their time, labour and materials and encouraged their suppliers to join in on the project.
The result is an amazing garden makeover in just three days!
A big thanks goes out to LQ members Treerific who coordinated labour from Ecoplant Australia and other suppliers including long time member Container Connection, who provided a beautiful large planter box for the front porch.
Melissa is delighted with the finished project and is overwhelmed by the support shown to her family by the landscape industry.
