COMPOSITE TIMBER DECKING WITH CLEVERDECK
12 Mar 2024
Choosing cost effective products that add value to projects and perform well in the harsh Australian environment is no easy task. Finding a range of options that meet these criteria and add some flair to the project is harder still. Futurewood's new CleverDeck aluminium joist and adjustable height pedestal subframe system has alfresco decking sorted.
An alfresco area can often cause a bit of a problem with restricted height between the existing concrete base and the sliding door height. Futurewood's new CleverDeck aluminium joist and adjustable height pedestal subframe system is the ideal solution when dealing with varying heights across deck areas. Using low-height adjustable pedestals and powder-coated aluminium joists, decking can be installed down to heights of 62mm or less.

The Benefits of CleverDeck
With the low-height adjustable pedestal subframe system, decking can be installed in spaces with very little wiggle room. Joist heights of 25mm, 50mm and 90mm allow spans between 600mm and 1800mm using individual joists or joists/bearer combinations depending on the deck height and the surface that the deck is being installed over.
The adjustable pedestal range covers heights from 14mm to 320mm. This range of pedestal sizes combined with a joist or joist/bearer combination and a CleverDeck composite timber decking board allow building decks across a range of heights from 48mm to 523mm. The full range of pedestals and aluminium joists/bearers that make up the subframe can also be installed using traditional concrete pads positioned, in the ground, in an appropriate grid pattern for the span of the joist/bearer.
The Aluminium Joist Subframe System is supplied with all the components necessary to get the job done. The unique clip system is quick and easy to use, saving time and money and making it a very cost-effective alternative to a traditional timber subframe.
All components have been tested for both residential and commercial loadings and a detailed, certified drawing of the subframe can be supplied for each installation where required.
