One such production was their work at Market Garden Park. Originally the site of the Chinese market gardens in the 1880s, Willoughby City Council recently upgraded the site to include picnic areas and playground equipment as well as a large community garden. Located in Mowbray Place, Willoughby, it is now an important recreational and ecological space for local residents to come together and grow their own produce.

The client commissioned Stoddart to design a versatile storage box that could also be used as a bench seat.  The community gardeners wanted somewhere secure they could store their tools, so the team designed two lockable storage boxes that double as comfortable benches, alongside a wheelchair-accessible picnic table. Stoddart also provided several Metro benches with DDA-compliant armrests for the park. 

Made from rich timber and stainless steel, Stoddart created a street furniture set that perfectly blends in with the surrounding aesthetic of the park while providing the requested dual-functionality, proving their versatility as an outdoor furniture company.
