ELMICH AUSTRALIA COMPANY PROFILE

BACKGROUND

The International group has branches in Australia, Europe, Africa, Asia, North America and South America. An interest in sustainable and eco-friendly philosophies is evident in the range of products developed by Elmich for both landscape and architectural product ranges. Internationally, Elmich also distributes premium waterproofing products that are imported from Europe.

Elmich Australia Pty Ltd was formed in Australia in 1997 and has become a leading supplier over the last decade. Elmich products are typically heavy-duty, light-weight, clip-together modular designs, mostly carrying the “Versi” brand name. In Australia Elmich is known for working within a network of technically skilled end-users of the product to develop solutions for particular sites.

Elmich representatives work with specifiers, often at design stage and also in the field, to create innovative solutions to a variety of external works problems. Elmich Australia Pty Ltd distributes throughout Australia, plus to New Zealand, parts of the South Pacific and also provides service to many international markets.

The range of products developed by Elmich has placed the company perfectly to provide bespoke landscaping and green roof solutions to customers throughout the world.  Elmich products can be seen in many International Award-Winning projects including the Sub-surface drainage for the Canary Wharf Tube Station in the UK, waterproofing and under-screed drainage for Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, and bearer and paver support in the Asy Syakirin Mosque in Malaysia.

OUTDOOR PRODUCT APPLICATIONS AND USE

The Elmich drainage product range includes Elmich VersiCell drainage cell, Elmich VersiFlex flexile drainage cell, Elmich VersiDrain drainage and water retention trays, plus drainage dimple sheets. This range can be seen in use in many commercial landscape projects such as the Chatswood Rail Link, Woolworths Headquarters, and the Conservatorium of Music.

Elmich VersiCell is a modular drainage high-strength polypropylene cell used for sub-surface drainage and waterproofing membrane or to create tanks for infiltration or storm water storage.

Elmich VersiDrain is a dimple sheet product with applications for capillary breaks under concrete slabs, waterproofing and membrane protection of underground structures and internal drainage of basement walls. VersiDrain6P is designed for use between structural slabs and sand or mortar screeds in the construction of pedestrian walkways, decks or balconies, while VersiDrain 25P is designed to store and drain water under large intensive green roof systems.

The Elmich stormwater product range includes Elmich VersiTank which has been used in a number of housing and commercial developments throughout Australia. External works projects featuring VersiTank include Hunterview Estate, Doncaster Racing College and the Highley Community Centre.

Elmich VersiTank is a plastic tank that can be used for stormwater storage or sub-surface infiltration. They provide an efficient way to keep water at-source and are available in several sizes and load-bearing capacities for individual homes to large commercial property developments.

In the paving/decking support area Elmich Australia offer Elmich VersiPave, Elmich SpiraPave, and Elmich VersiDeck. Elmich VersiPave products have been used in Greenslopes Hospital, UNSW Law School, and Beaumonde Apartments.

Elmich VersiPave is a weight-bearing plastic paver support which eliminates the need for sand when laying pavers. The product is used in the construction of verandahs, pool surrounds, balconies, roofs and decks.
Elmich VersiJack is a telescopic plastic pedestal (heavy-duty) designed for floor, deck, paver and beam support. The pedestal can be used for decking, timber beans, pre-cast concrete and most pavers like marble and granite. Elmich VersiJack has been used in projects at The University of Adelaide, Angel Place, Hong Kong Science Park and the Canon Building.

For turf stabilisation, Elmich offerS two products – Elmich TurfPave and Elmich VersiWeb. These can be seen in use in landscape projects at the Sydney Olympic Village, Tea Gardens Marina, and the Sydney Academy of Sports.
Elmich TurfPave XD is a porous, interlocking, plastic grass paver product designed for supporting grassed areas that carry a lot of pedestrian and vehicle traffic. They are often used in the construction of overflow parking areas, driveways, golf paths, and slope stabilization.

Elmich also offers products for green roofs and green walls. These can be seen in external works projects at the Fujitsu HQ, Zenith Building, Curzon Hall Function Centre and the Aramsa Garden Spa in Singapore.
VGM Green Wall is an Elmich product that consists of high-strength lightweight vertical modules with geotextile liner containing a grid for planting. The module installations fit drip irrigation systems with collection trays that can allow overflow water to be recycled.
