FUTUREWOOD’S COMPOSITE TIMBER DECKING RANGE
14 Jul 2022
Futurewood supplies a quality range of environmentally friendly, low maintenance, timber alternative building products including composite timber screening, cladding and decking.
With two distinctly different composite timber decking ranges and four types of boards to choose from Futurewood has a product that is bound to suit every clients needs.
CleverDeck Original composite timber decking is a best seller with its timber-like look and is more ecologically sustainable and low maintenance by comparison. Finished with a course sanded texture that makes the product look and feel more like a timber plank, it is supplied in 5400mm lengths with grooved edges that allow quick and easy installation using the full range of Futurewood’s concealed fix clips. The long boards and easy to use clips add further value by reducing installation time and labour costs.
With four standard colours in the Original range or two colours in the Eco-Pro range the 138mm wide x 23mm thick x 5400mm long solid composite timber decking boards provide a full colour palette to suit any landscaping or garden project.
Made from recycled plastic, rice husks and hardwood sawdust, CleverDeck Original composite timber decking has colour pigments running through the decking board eliminating the need for oiling or painting. It will not rot, splinter or cup making it a great option for any garden. Plus the concealed fixing provides a nice clean finish with no nails or screws to catch on any toes!
For a reduced weight and heat product, CleverDeck Eco-Pro features all the same qualities as CleverDeck Original but in a scalloped back single sided board. Both CleverDeck Original and Eco-Pro achieve a P5 slip rating.
Futurewood CleverDeck Xtreme “capped” composite decking board is a co-extruded decking with a hard, outer shell made from virgin polymers that completely encapsulates a traditional composite timber core. The Xtreme cap is made from a blend of different polymers designed to make it super tough and much harder to scratch than traditional composite timber. BAL-29 rated, it is virtually waterproof with stain resistant and easy to clean properties.
The cap’s virgin polymer blend allows the use of vibrant colour hues with subtle streaking creating a totally new decking look. The Xtreme board is available in both a 138mm wide and a 185mm wide decking board in up to six amazing colours. The boards also incorporate the scalloped back design to reduce weight and allow more air flow to reduce heat. Both width boards are 23mm thick and 5400mm long with a grooved edge profile allowing the Futurewood deck clip system to provide a completely concealed fix.
Futurewood also offers a low height subframe featuring aluminium joists and adjustable height pedestals designed to go over a solid base such as concrete of paving. The low height is particulary convenient for decking projects that cover an old concrete patio where there is little height between the external door and the patio base. Additional joists and bearers are being added to this range so that the deck and subframe can be built using a combination of composite timber, aluminium and concrete.
