GUM LEAF POD

Loved by children and adults alike, the interior and exterior of the Pod is formed by giant, sculpted leaves reminiscent of the foliage of the native, flowering Eucalypts that brighten the Australian landscape. The sculpted leaves entangle in larger-than-life 3D bas-relief to create a magical, semi-enclosed space designed to inspire and delight children of all ages.

Each Pod cubby is unique; a hand-painted work of botanical art by Jungle Play’s principal artist, Alan Groves. No two pods are the same. Alan carefully and creatively paints each Pod using a variety of colours in a marine-grade two pack paint finish over the colourised gelcoat finish to ensure longevity for decades of play. The Pod can also be custom-painted to reflect any of the rainbow hues of nature to complement any indoor or outdoor play environment.

The Gum Leaf Pod also offers a cosy, shaded spot away from the noise and activity of the playground offering children opportunities to relax and engage in creative play to stimulate the imagination and encourage holistic wellbeing - essential components of balanced and empowered intellectual and personal growth.

The Pod boasts a very spacious interior with two large leaf-shaped bench seats accommodating up to ten children at a time and providing an ideal space for group activities such as reading and storytelling. Immensely popular in parks, schools and childcare facilities, the Gum Leaf Pod requires no fall zone and can be installed in soft-fall, turf or rubber surfacing.
