I BELIEVE...IN MPS PAVING

Brisbane roads go Abbey Road with a coating of ultra-durable StreetBond safety surfacing from MPS Paving, creating a safer environment for pedestrians and road users in the Cross River Rail Project.
This project was developed for the new Cross River rail allowing users access straight to the bus terminal. This has given residents easy access the surrounding public transport infrastructure including the new bus terminal.
Within the design brief it was also specified that StreetBond coating was to be used. Both StreetBond & CanyonTone coatings were used to delineate shared zones for the road users allowing safer and more efficient travel for residents.
This delineation of the shared zones was accomplished through the use of coloured treatments and line marking but also the impact of the vibrant colours used. The colours chosen were Hunter Green, Beatnik, Seafoam, Slate & RT3 Red. All of these colours are vibrant and easy to notice.
StreetBond was chosen for its durability on the roadway giving the local government the confidence it won’t wear after minimal use. CanyonTone was also used to penetrate any stains throughout the project leaving them with a tint the same colour as the road - leaving that flow on effect from the road.
One of the key factors in a project such as this - a project where traffic & public disruption is necessary - is the speed with which it can be completed. This is necessary as any further delay can negatively impact many road users. For this reason, the products chosen contributed to the success and efficiency of the project. The products used are ultra-durable and allow for quick installation & curing time reducing the overall disruption to traffic and the smooth operation of the bus terminal and rail station.
Roundabout treatments were installed to show users coming into the shared zone increasing safety and ease of use. Coating was also implemented on the road way ramp alongside way painting in an attempt to visually slow down traffic.
