LIGHTWEIGHT POTS – IDEAL FOR ROOFTOPS AND BALCONIES
20 Sep 2017
Lightweight planters open up a range of creative design possibilities for outdoor areas that cannot support heavy weight, such as rooftop gardens and balconies. Martin Kellock Pots & Planters’ provides a range of styles to suit all project budgets.
To respond to the industry’s need for versatile – and beautiful – lightweight pots, Martin Kellock Pots and Planters has created three distinct product ranges. In fact, pots that are easy to move around are worth considering for any landscaping project. Colours are not limited to existing shades. Paint them to achieve striking effects: perhaps a rust finish, a glossy shine or a bright pop of colour!
Geo Rok
Suited to heavy-duty commercial and domestic landscaping, Geo Rok pots embody timeless design elements. Made from glass fibre reinforced cement (GFRC), these landscape pots are twice as strong as fibreglass while being much lighter than concrete. In addition to their striking appearance and durability, Geo Rok pots are resistant to UV and water penetration. Sold as planters, Geo Rok can be converted into water features by applying a silicone sealer to the painted surface.
Smartline
A more affordable option than Geo Rok, the Smartline range of pots provide a luxurious look with the benefit of being ultra light weight. Smartline boasts an impressively robust matt-smooth finish. These stylish planters are made exclusively by hand from a fibreglass-mineral composite. They are also weatherproof, UV-resistant and up to 70% lighter than planters made of natural materials.
Topline
The newest member of Martin Kellock Pots and Planters’ range of lightweight pots gives plantscapers a more affordable option for introducing the concrete look into landscape designs. Topline is made from Polyfibre Stone − a mixture of polyresin, stone powder and adhesives − with fibre mat to strengthen the body and connect the layers.
The new range of pots, planters and balcony troughs are represented in gorgeous shapes that can adapt to any design. Striated textures add depth to some, while cool greys and blacks help to create a calm horticultural ambiance.
