LOGAN GARDENS WATER PARK: AN ASSET FOR ALL
25 Nov 2021
GX Outdoors has transformed an underutilised park into a premier outdoor destination for the City of Logan. Logan Gardens Park, located in South-East QLD saw a significant $3.3m upgrade to their facilities with the installation of a new water park.
GX Outdoors has worked closely with Logan City Council for a number of years and has assisted with the first two stages of this ongoing project.
Visitors to the park will now be able to enjoy the new additions of GX Outdoors' Atessa Park Seats, Benches, Park Platforms and custom Table Settings – made extra-large to maximise space and comfort. These items were all powder coated in bright, vibrant colours that are culturally significant to honour the traditions of the original owners of the land, the Yagara people. The table settings also match different world flags to help represent the rich multicultural community of Logan City.
GX Outdoors supplied Frontier Double BBQ’s that have plenty of space for all park visitors to cook on as they are DDA Certified and offer easy access to wheelchair users. To ensure park hygiene and safety for visitors, GX Outdoors installed Citistyle Bin Enclosures around the park, also encouraging recycling with a recycle bin enclosure featuring a bright yellow top.
The all-new GX Outdoors Silhouette Shelter made its debut in the second stage of this project with multiple shelters mounted around the outside of the water park, powder coated with black frames and red panels, and banked together to ensure protection from the sun as well as providing a sleek and modern look to the park.
The Logan Gardens Park project in partnership with GX Outdoors provides a leading park infrastructure asset not only for the local community, but also supporting important economic benefits for the entire region. These important park assets support the communities mental and physical health as they come together outdoors to enjoy their natural surroundings.
“I’ve worked with Logan City Council for a long time on many projects so it was great to be able to support them on a project of this substantial size. Every single item in this park has such a large and positive impact for the whole community as it ensures there is room for everyone, of every ability,” said Athol Rowland, QLD State Sales Manager for GX Outdoors.
The water park is free for all users and features four zones that offer something different for every age group and ability.
The four water park zones include a toddler’s tabletop that features a shallow pool for younger children to safely engage in water play, popjet plaza where jets of water shoot high into the air at random intervals, nozzle sprays are in totem forest, and an iconic bucket tipping area to really help kids cool off. GX Outdoors tables, seats, and park platforms surround this area so parents and caregivers can comfortably watch their children from a safe distance.
