A tropical landscaped lagoon sits at the heart of a planned luxury hotel in Thailand, utilising a unique architectural floating design that provides unparalleled views across the surrounding hills.
Located in the hills of Koh Samui, Thailand, this hotel offers stunning panoramic views of the sea. Divercity Architects’ vision was to integrate the beach landscape into the hills, allowing guests to enjoy the best of both worlds – a lagoon-style pool and beach with arresting views of the environment. 
The unique elevated pools and beach zones convey the idea of a ‘lost paradise’ floating above the lush landscape. The stepped terraces respond to the site’s slope, maximising the panoramic potential. 
The hotel’s restaurant enjoys a distinct location on the extended beach-scape, stepping down to a beach bar and a series of smaller, more private bays. Meanwhile, Divercity Architects arranged the accommodation villas in a linear fashion across the hills to allow for uninterrupted views to the sea and privacy for guests. 
Each villa uses an architectural language of folded rooflines inspired by the local traditional sailboats and features a private pool, with indoor and outdoor areas that flow seamlessly together to create the illusion of a larger space.
This unique hotel concept provides the ultimate escape, combining land and sea into a new iconic Thai resort.
