MORE THAN STREET FURNITURE

Well-known for its custom street furniture, Street+Garden offer so much more than its stunning outdoor seating ranges. Purveyors of custom sculptural structures, Street+Garden are changing the game in site embellishments that bring an extra-special something to outdoor spaces.
Outdoor spaces spark joy across a community. Whether its a playground designed for big and small, an esplanade lined with seating to enjoy the view, or even a pedestrian bridge facilitating movement between Point A and Point B, these public facilities are integral. But Street + Garden are here to make these public facilities more than just functional, its making them memorable.
From entry features to sculptural elements, Street + Garden have provided a diverse range of custom pieces to public spaces all around Australia, setting them apart as landmarks:
Pelican Waters Bridge
Paradise Lakes
Blending sculptural art and design, this bold Entry Feature was created for Uniland’s newest development, Paradise Lakes Estate. Working closely with Urbis, the team at Street+Garden were tasked with conceptualising a standalone object that encapsulated the evolving Paradise Lakes brand identity through the use of specialised materials and finishes.
Aura Display Village
Street+Garden were engaged by Urbis to design and supply a series of sculptural entry features that would line a newly constructed land bridge at Stockland’s Aura development. These uniquely formed blades were then also adapted to include a rainbow-like colour scheme and installed at Aura’s Display Village, along with custom umbrella shelters mounted to our Pebble Platforms.
The blades installed along Banya Avenue were finished with a two-tone paint scheme and folded in such a way that a different colour was seen depending on where they were viewed from. A gradient of colours was also selected in order to introduce an added layer of visual complexity and depth to the feature. Special consideration was given to the materials and paint specification used to ensure a long product life, with durability and ease of maintenance paramount.
Logan Gardens Water Park
Logan City Council worked with the community to provide a new water park, which was installed adjacent to the existing playground, located at Wembley Road, Logan Gardens. The space was focused on community interaction and included multiple interconnected areas for play, socialising and recreation.
Given the context of a playground, the forms needed to be playful and functional. Integrated circular forms were chosen to provide a method of joining and tessellating the modules, featuring laser-cut designs by First Nations artist, Jessica Skeen-McKinnon. The stepped heights and overlapping forms allowed the elements to combine to achieve the complex site layout requirements. The solution provided by Street + Garden was able to seamlessly integrate with the landscape design, including being able to easily adapt to straight, curveds and angled changes in direction of the adjacent pathways and grassed areas.
Everleigh
The Everleigh master planned community is a new development located in Greenbank, Queensland. Engaged by Form Landscape Architects, Street + Garden were tasked with the design and delivery of a custom Entry Statement that would set the tone for the community and reflect the surrounding natural landscape.
