04 Mar 2021
After achieving huge things in the past year, Omnitech have hit the ground running in 2021. Find out what the team accomplished in 2020.
Omnitech are excited to see what’s in store for its playgrounds in 2021 after achieving so much in the year before.
One of the big changes for Omnitech going into the new year is the change of scenery – the company moved over 30 years of memories out of West Heidelberg and into a brand-new factory located in Somerton.
Proudly Australian-made, Omnitech have recently taken its manufacturing abilities to new levels, with its in-house manufacturing capabilities now including:
- Powder-coating
- Welding
- CNC machine
- Ropes
- Timbers
All materials are sourced in Australia:
- Plastic rotomoulding – Mildura
- Timber – North Queensland
- Metal – Ballarat
In recent years, Omnitech have developed its designs to be more sophisticated to keep up with the evolving playground market. The company have a team of industrial designers who can custom design any playspace, bringing your imaginations to life! Supplying playgrounds all over Australia and with distributors now in each state, Omnitech are constantly looking for new ways to grow and evolve.
Last year Omnitech explored the potential of combing technology with traditional play. It partnered up with Canadian tech company Biba to launch its playground app within the Australian market.
Biba amplifies a child’s experience on the playground by:
- Designing games that allow adults to be in charge of the phone at all times
- Being retrofitted into any playground, not just Omnitech
- Upgrading an older playground in an affordable way
- Generating a monthly report that indicates average age demographic, most popular play times and much more
Big things are happening for Omnitech and the team are excited more than ever for 2021.
