OUTDOOR PING PONG GOES TO SCHOOL
10 Dec 2014
A new school-specific outdoor ping pong table has launched to meet the informal recreation needs of students, whilst providing a long-lasting school yard feature.
Public Outdoor Ping Pong recently took some exciting steps to create a school-specific outdoor ping pong table. Working with primary and secondary school leaders, the aptly named School Table was designed to meet the increasing informal recreation needs of students, whilst providing a long-lasting, schoolyard feature at an affordable price.
Launched in October, the School Table is made in Australia for Australian conditions and consists of a robust galvanised steel frame and SafetyNet, and a grey, all-weather composite top. The table is delivered flat-packed for onsite assembly within 1 hour and can be permanently affixed to the ground for added security.
Its launch follows the success of The Ephemeralist table by POPP earlier in the year. Some of the new and architecturally-inspired clients for 'The E' include GPT Group and QIC for Harry Seidler's MLC Centre and AMP Capital for the AMP Centre, both in Sydney's CBD. We're sure they won’t mind if you head down there for a hit!
Outdoor ping pong continues to grow in popularity with now over 175 POPP Flagship tables permanently installed across Australia (RMIT featured). The company's website (www.popp.net.au) will soon have a comprehensive map of each of these tables to ensure that everybody can find a nearby table when a table tennis fix grabs hold.
