Over 380 guests attended the black tie event to acknowledge this year’s winners and to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Landscape Awards in Queensland.
Major event partner AWX Group presented the Queensland Landscape Construction of the year to Brisbane-based landscapers Naturform Pty Ltd.
Naturform’s winning project, Hopscotch House, is a childcare centre situated in Coorparoo in Brisbane’s southern suburbs.
The judges said: “This project stands as a benchmark for excellence in the landscape construction and a silent advocate for the industry. The project displays a high level of consistency in construction quality over a large variety of materials, construction techniques and finishes to create a truly memorable space that encourages learning and adventure to the 115 children that have the privilege of enjoying it”.
The evening was hosted by Terry Hansen from Brisbane radio station 97.7FM and featured local comedian and magician Nigel.
Landscape Queensland CEO, Mark Sorby, said this year’s awards again showcased the high quality skill levels and professionalism of the landscape industry in Queensland and also acknowledged the importance of the training and development of young apprentices and trainees in this state.
