SECURE BIKE SHELTER AT BEACONSFIELD
26 May 2022
Stoddart Infrastructure supplied a Combination Parkiteer Bike Shelter at Beaconsfield train station, as an addition to the growing Parkiteer bike storage network at Victorian train stations.
The Bicycle Network Victoria, in conjunction with Public Transport Victoria, chose Stoddart Infrastructure to provide the secure bike storage shelters for the network’s members.
The Parkiteer program was established in 2008 and has since expanded to 102 cages across Victoria, covering the regional and metro rail networks. The program now has almost 14,000 registered riders, with approximately 1,000 riders using the network daily.
The supplied Parkiteer Bike Shelter features an attractive grey powdercoated mild steel frame. The curved roof and gutters provide excellent drainage for run off stormwater. Flat top and Ned Kelly® bike rails are supplied inside of the shelter to maximise the storage capacity of commuter bicycles.
The Parkiteer Bike Shelters are sturdy and vandal-resistant, featuring lighting and CCTV security in addition to the swipe card entry for registered users.
Stoddart Infrastructure also provided the stainless-steel bike rack hoops adjacent to the shelter.
