SEEKING AN AQUATICS DIRECTOR

Hamilton City Council are looking for an inspirational Aquatics Director to manage and develop its thriving public aquatics facilities in the growing city of Hamilton in New Zealand.
Hamilton Pools have a permanent position going to manage and develop its aquatics facilities, Waterworld and Gallagher Aquatic Centre. Having recently completed a $10.7M upgrade of Waterworld, its large international-standard swimming and gym facility, Hamilton Pools is in need of a dedicated team leader to direct its operations manager, assets and contract manager and customer experience manager, along with the rest of the experienced aquatics team.
The successful candidate will have previous experience managing an operation of this size and will bring with you a host of new ideas for managing and developing this thriving group of facilities, as well as the ability to deliver on those concepts.
As a part of Hamilton City Council’s community services team, the Aquatic Director role is backed by senior management with an eye towards making improvements and implementing change. As the head of a team of experienced aquatic professionals, who hold a strong sense of the facility and its people, you’ll be expected to meet their passion and dedication for providing affordable, accessible sports and leisure opportunities to the community.
Your ability to produce and provide strategic plans and growth for aquatics operations is crucial to success in this position, as is identifying risks and opportunities.
