Stoddart has once again been contracted by Yarra Trams in Melbourne to install four Stoddart Evo Shelters for the Swan Street tram stop in Richmond as part of an extensive upgrade between Richmond Station and the MCG and Melbourne Park sporting precincts.
In late 2018, VicRoads commenced a major intersection streamline for Swan Street/Punt Road in Richmond. This project is part of a large upgrade to better manage traffic and facilitate public transport to, from, and between Richmond Station and the MCG and Melbourne Park sporting precincts respectively.
Stoddart Infrastructure was contracted to install four Stoddart Evo Shelters for the Swan Street tram stop in Richmond. 
These shelters are all eight metres in length, featuring single-sided roofs with integrate parallel pivoting lightboxes, bench seating with armrests, Passenger Information Display units and LED lighting. With its minimal yet functional aesthetic, the Evo Shelter has become the shelter design of choice for the Yarra Trams network. 
The Yarra Trams projects are increasingly required to be completed under platform/stop 'occupation' to tight time frames, requiring efficient coordination between the Stoddart factory and installation teams in different states.
