STREET FURNITURE AUSTRALIA BRINGS PEOPLE TOGETHER
03 Dec 2020
Seats and tables from Street Furniture Australia add comfort and provide a place to gather in this beachside adventure park, designed by Emerge Associates.
This beachside adventure park designed by Emerge Associates in Eglinton, WA, features Street Furniture Australia’s Wood Without Worry aluminium woodgrain suite of furniture in Beach Oak Grey.
The seats and tables feature UV and salt-resistant Wood Without Worry aluminium woodgrain battens in Beach Oak Grey, paired with Woodland Grey frames. The grey palette of the furniture complements the bright colours of the play elements to create a relaxing, but vibrant, space for people to come together.
Due to being close to the beach, the furniture had to be suitable for the coastal location. The hard wearing and low maintenance seats and tables are also perfect with coping with the popularity of the park. The aluminium battens with a woodgrain ‘Beach Oak’ finish were used to match with materials used on the site, which ties into the theme of the foreshore public open space.
The furniture caters for large groups of users of the space at the same time, with the multiple picnic settings underneath the oversized shelters designed for larger communal events. Passionate about inclusivity, the picnic settings from Street Furniture Australia were selected to be DDA compliant, ensuring people of all-abilities can access the space.
The hollow-extrusion Wood Without Worry woodgrain aluminium battens, insulated with a textured powdercoat, tend to feel cooler to the touch than other materials, ideal for those hot summer days.
Along with the seats and tables, Street Furniture Australia provided Spiral Hoop Bicycle Parking, to invite cyclists to pause on their journey at a sheltered bike station, complete with an air pump for tyres. An Arqua Fountain, powdercoated in Night Sky, also provides fresh drinking water on tap for visitors.
