STREET FURNITURE AUSTRALIA FOR NEW GOOGLE CAMPUS
05 Nov 2020
A new Google Campus in Washington has chosen Street Furniture Australia’s ‘Wood Without Worry’ range to bring comfort to the outdoor area.
Street Furniture Australia’s Wood Without Worry movable furniture range will furnish the expansive outdoor area of the new Google Campus. Bringing flexibility and style to the area, Street Furniture Australia will supply Forum Low Tables, Cafe Round Tables and around 50 single and three-seater freestanding Forum Seats.
Wood Without Worry, in Bush Cherry, provides the warmth of timber with very easy maintenance requirements. Heavy enough to stop theft, but light enough to easily reposition, the furniture is engineered for durability, withstanding the tough demands of public space environments.
Myles Harvey, Landscape Architect with HEWITT Seattle who created the outdoor space, believes Street Furniture Australia were the perfect choice for the project. “To address accommodation and to reinforce a sense of place for the 12 acre mixed-use Google campus, it was identified early in the project that varied and inviting movable site furnishings was a critical element,” says Myles.
“Among the paramount factors for HEWITT when selecting the furnishings were the elegance and visual warmth of the furniture design balanced with the durability and ease of maintenance. Cost and lead time were also important items to weigh, particularly to the ownership team.
“The inclusion of the Street Furniture Australia products meets all the project requirements and enriches the character and experience of the overall site,” Myles continues.
