Nature Inspired Playgrounds’ Possum Pod comes in a range of base options that encourages interactive participation, including a woven base that allows children to grow their own vines.
An original creation by Nature Inspired Playgrounds, the Possum Pod offers the secret hiding spaces that children love. They can be tucked into an existing bush tucker garden, or be the surprise gem at the end of a sensory path, or even a music centre.
Children and adults alike are drawn to the nature inspired yet fairytale quality of the Possum Pod. The woven base allows children at play to feel safely enclosed, while at the same time provides peace of mind to adults who are able to supervise from nearby.
The Possum Pod comes with a pre-woven vine base, or it can be supplied as a ‘naked’ Possum Pod. The naked Possum Pod allows clients to dress the bottom half of the pod with fabrics, or whatever captures the imagination, or plant vines that will grow to turn it into a ‘living’ Possum Pod.
As each Possum Pod is hand crafted, one pod’s character will differ slightly from the next. Hand-construction techniques also offer scope to create individual pod characteristics that meet specific project requirements.
The Possum Pod structure provides a lot of opportunities for developing a forest village-like feel in any playspace. A Possum Pod village up the trees, connected by bridge tunnels, is one project Nature Inspired Playgrounds is looking forward to creating for their next adventurous client.
