TRANSPORT INFRASTRUCTURE UPGRADE
07 Feb 2019
Rosanna Station in Melbourne gets an infrastructure upgrade from Stoddart that adds new functionality to the public transport hub and gives it some urban flair into the bargain.
The Rosanna Station upgrade in 2018 is one of the most impressive Level Crossing Removal projects to be completed in Melbourne to date, and gave Stoddart Infrastructure another opportunity to work with Ace Contractors in the supply of a range of transport infrastructure.
Stoddart’s contribution covered the entire station area. Station Bins and Station Seats can be found across the platforms, concourse, and Turnham Ave bus interchange, accompanied by two Evo shelters.
One of these is the standard Evo MkII shelter, however the second shelter is a heavily modified Evo Premium shelter with high-quality architectural finishes that help tie the concourse to the Turnham Ave interchange.
Consisting of black powdercoated aluminium framing and cladding with a slot-perforated plywood soffit, custom LED strip lighting, and plinth integrated seating, the quality of the fabrication and finishes of the EVO shelters is evident from every angle. The same can also be said of the polished stainless steel Station Suite that complements the urban aesthetic.
It is this consistent approach to balancing design with durability that has seen Stoddart products become commonplace across public transport projects Australia-wide.
