If your design calls for the perfect outdoor space, complete with wood fire oven or firepit, you can’t go past The Melbourne Fire Brick Company. Their dense refractory fire bricks are used for kilns, furnaces, forges and fireplaces, in addition to quality DIY wood fired pizza oven kits.
Made to strict dimensional tolerances, TMFBC fire bricks have smooth faces and sharp edges, and a minimum Alumina content of 38%, giving them a maximum working temperature of 1350°C. The Alumina content also makes these bricks very tolerant to thermal shock.
With a little know how and the right equipment, dense fire bricks are easy to cut using either a brick saw with a suitable diamond blade, or for small jobs you can use an angle grinder with a diamond cutting blade. Alternatively, if you don’t want the hassle of cutting your own bricks, TMFBC have a pre-cut DIY pizza oven kit that is designed to make building your own authentic oven as easy as possible. The precut kit comes with everything you need to construct a high quality brick oven.
