In keeping with Henley Square’s contemporary upgrade, the Ramsgate Hotel has added three waterproof umbrellas from Shadeform to their seaside area. A stylish and effective form of weather protection, these products are a great way to boost customer numbers, improve satisfaction, and create striking features for the passer-by.
Flexshade® permanent umbrellas are the perfect set and forget solution, providing great all-weather protection from the sun, wind, and rain. Flexible PVC fabric forms the taught translucent canopy, which is 100 percent UV resistant and completely waterproof. The beam edge design creates greater coverage than conventional hollow-edged umbrellas and allows the provision of drop down blinds.
The chosen solution for the Ramsgate Hotel’s outside canopies included a Q14C Twin and Two Q8C Twin Umbrellas. Centre posts are used instead of perimeter columns, as this versatile configuration requires less concrete footings, helps create a sleek design, and overall contributes to an economical project. Lighting extras were included to provide better visibility for nighttime dining and entertainment. The Flexshade® umbrella's are also future-proofed for further upgrades - heating strips, blinds, and awnings all can be easily included at a later date.
Flexshade® umbrella’s include stainless steel fixings and fittings, with a triplex hot zinc and powdercoated frame. The translucent PVC fabric forms a robust all-weather canopy, which also lets natural light through. Wind rated to 160 km/hrs per hour, Flexshade® is durable and long lasting making it perfect for a wide range of applications.
