WORLD-CLASS PLAY AND FITNESS SPACE

Locals are rejoicing after the unveiling of the new state-of-the-art fitness installation at Tucker Family Park, which completed the last piece of the puzzle in the $1.4 million project for Brentwood Forest.
Featuring fitness equipment from KOMPAN’s 2017 Good Design Award-winning Cross Systems range, the equipment’s unique design means it caters for a range of ages and fitness levels. KOMPAN’s training app also provides users with workout ideas and tips on exercise techniques, motivating park users to be (and stay) active.
KOMPAN’s sport and fitness guest expert, Tim Robards, was on hand to officially unveil the fitness equipment and provide those in attendance with some inspiration on how to use the site. “Whether you want to lose weight or simply get fit, you really can train anywhere,” Mr Robards said. “The KOMPAN equipment is the perfect addition to any community park, with the unique KOMPAN app helping you to create a training program that is best suited to you, while allowing you to meet new people in the area.”
In addition to the outdoor fitness site, Tucker Family Park’s impressive playground boasts an 8.2 metre Custom Corocord Cube Tower and gigantic 18 metre slide. A KOMPAN Multi Sport pitch completes the picture for a park that truly caters for the entire family. It even includes an off-leash dog park and small playing field, complete with rugby posts!
AVID Property Group General Manager, Bruce Harper, said he was excited to be able to deliver such a unique park to the Greater Springfield community. “I’m proud of the park we have been able to create here at Brentwood Forest – it ticks all the boxes for a family-friendly park, with this latest edition [fitness equipment] just another building block in creating a beautiful centre-point for the community.”
Brentwood Forest is located in the fast-growing ‘Western Corridor’ of Southeast Queensland. Data from the 2016 census shows the Ipswich Local Government Area population has grown 16.1 percent since the 2011 Census, compared to population growth of 10 percent in Brisbane and Sydney and 12 percent in Melbourne.
Tucker Family Park was created by KOMPAN in partnership with Urban Play and AECOM Landscape Architects for AVID Property Group.
