PEBBLE CREEK

Surrounded by parkland and bordered to the north by Flagstone Creek, Pebble Creek is a masterplanned community, intricately designed to bring out the very best of nature, space, connectivity and family. At the heart of the community sits a multimillion-dollar park and activity hub, featuring sport ovals, playgrounds, multi-use courts, a bicycle precinct, picnic areas, a dog off-leash park and more.

Urban Play worked alongside SLR Consulting, Orchard Property Group and The Landscaping Construction Company to create the playspace at Pebble Creek.

In the centre of the playground is a bespoke Tree Tower that encourages kids to climb to the top, play among the treetops and peer out over the incredible native bush environment. Adorned with leaves, the three-tier tower features different entries and exits that cater to various ages and abilities. A parkour trail, climbing net or rope bridge provide a challenging yet exciting entry into the tower and a large curved slide provides a thrilling slide down to the ground!

The playspace creatively makes use of the undulating landscape through the use of embankments, creating a multi-levelled playspace. An embankment slide through the garden is perfect for younger adventurers to enjoy the thrill of sliding. A rubber embankment adorned with mountaineering ropes allows kids to make their way back up to the top level of the playspace. A multi-spinner, vibrant rubber domes, a track and a three-bay swing are other play elements found in the playspace.  The three-bay swing features an inclusive swing seat, which encourages parents and children to experience the sensation of swinging together.

“The playspace creatively uses the undulating landform to create a multilevel playspace where the whole family can play and picnic all day,” said playground designer, Ben Urban from Urban Play. “We have never created a tower of this style before, with the leaves and the beige embellishment. It looks great and is complemented by the surrounding environment.”
