SOUTHBANK APARTMENT PUBLIC OUTDOOR DINING SPACE

The Apartment Southpoint is a luxury complex situated at the highest point of Southbank, on the corner of Gray and Vulture St, offering breathtaking views of the Brisbane CBD. The complex features 195 high-end apartments spread across 18 floors, equipped with some of the best recreational facilities an apartment building can offer. These facilities include a level 22 rooftop infinity edge pool, a private residents lounge, a state-of-the-art gym health and wellness centre, and multi-level BBQ and dining facilities.

Southpoint Apartments contacted Greenplate to undertake an upgrade of their BBQ facilities, which involved replacing the original gas-powered units with Greenplate’s energy-efficient BBQs. Greenplate also manufactured custom bench skirts to reduce the cut-out size from the original BBQ to accommodate the new units.

The above bench housing was selected for this project, which eliminated the need to replace the cabinet doors, as the switch and instruction label are located at the front of the BBQ unit, right below the cooking plate.

Southpoint also opted to purchase the new Hinged BBQ Covers, which serve as a perfect addition to the Greenplate BBQ unit, protecting the plate from weather and providing an aesthetic look to the common areas. Greenplate provided end-to-end services for this project, including upgrading the electrical to accommodate the new electric BBQs. All products were pre-assembled off-site to minimize installation time, and the job was completed in less than a day.

Greenplate’s energy-efficient BBQs and innovative solutions enabled Southpoint Apartments to upgrade its BBQ facilities without disrupting the aesthetics of its common areas. The installation of Greenplate’s products not only enhanced the facilities but also helped to reduce the buildings carbon footprint.
