WORLD'S LARGEST GREEN WALL PROJECT
Elmich’s VGM Green Walls were installed at Singapore’s Institute of Technical Education’s College Central. The high walls of up to 35 metres, totaling about 5,300sqm, is the world largest vertical greenery installation at a single development. They are part of the college’s “Vertical Greening – An Eco-Initiative” drive to be eco-friendly whilst offering a conducive learning environment for its students.
Cool FeaturesThe living walls protect west facing walls of the campus building from the intense tropical sun. These walls mitigate the heat island effect and reduce the energy required for air-conditioning, hence decreasing the carbon footprint of the College.
Green AppreciationApart from aesthetic and environmental benefits, the green walls convey the message that nature can be incorporated within the steel and concrete jungle. This allows the college community to enjoy the tranquility of nature within their campus grounds.
