A CONNECTED URBAN LANDSCAPE
04 Oct 2023
Breathing new life in Fukouka City, Japan, the Three-Dimensional Park from acclaimed architect Sou Fujimoto blends urban elements with natural beauty to create a one-of-a-kind greenspace that will enhance the community’s connection to its outdoor spaces.
Situated in front of the Hakata railway station, this bespoke greenspace will enhance the community’s connection to its outdoor spaces and aligns with the city’s Hakata Connected policy.
This dynamic urban landscape includes a variety of outdoor spaces that provide citizens an oasis to enjoy the outdoors and all its perks. Featuring a network of floating walkways, pedestrians can walk freely through the landscape and connect to the railway station and adjacent streets. As well, be connected to an array of restaurants, wellness facilities and more within the four-story tenant building on site. This plaza provides the community with a range of activities that coincide with the park’s ambience.
Gracing the landscape is an array of rich plant life. From camphor trees and ginkos to Japanese summer oranges, the green life within the landscape reflects the Japanese native vegetation.
From floating walkways to rooftop gardens, grand staircases to large open spaces, the Three-Dimensional Park provides citizens an urban oasis to escape too and enjoy the beauty of the outdoors.
Construction to begin in 2024.
