A VIBRANT AND INTERACTIVE PAVING DESIGN
18 May 2023
MPS Paving helps adds a pops of colour and a touch of fun to the pavement along Follet Road in Melbourne.
Taking inspirations from designs workshopped by local traders and students from Cheltenham South Primary School, the finished result is a curvy pavement artwork that is a vibrant display of multiculturalism in the local area. From the students and locals’ designs, artist Carla Gottgens from CG Photography was able to create the final design and with the help of MPS Paving, transfer the stunning design onto the paving using MPS Paving Streetbond.
The colourful paving is not only a vibrant inclusion to the walkway, but is an interactive experience for users. The exciting design intrigues passerbyers and allows them to seek and find pairs of symbols throughout the artwork. The symbols include diverse households within the local area and a flower from the country of origin of each parent in that household. This forms the matching game!
MPS Paving has delivered a vibrant and interactive paving design with non-slip features that the entire community to engage with and enjoy.
