Australia’s premier civil engineering event is just around the corner! The annual infrastructure expo CIVENEX is on from 18 – 19 May and now includes live seminars. Entry is FREE so register today.
We all know about CIVENEX – it’s the leading civil engineering event in the country. The annual expo, held in NSW, is the premier event for public works, local government, infrastructure innovators and corporate clients.
CIVENEX is hosted by the NSW state division of the Institute of Public Works Engineering (IPWEA). 2016 will be the 61st annual iteration of the event, and is expected to be bigger than ever.
Millions of dollars in sales are generated on site and in follow-up contracts each year. John Roydhouse, Chief Executive of IPWEA (NSW) said that they appreciate the NSW government granting them extensive recognition, particularly the incorporation of the NSW Waratah logo in CIVENEX publications.
“For the past 108 years, the IPWEA has been the peak body for infrastructure across Australia,” said John. “The logo features the NSW waratah emblem and the words ‘supported by NSW’ which is important for CIVENEX, especially when dealing with potential exhibitors in overseas countries. Their stated support of our show, only legitimises it further as the number one infrastructure event in the country.”
One of the driving factors for the NSW government’s support is their desire to be seen as the leader of Australia’s infrastructure development.
“CIVENEX is where industry meets the Federal, State and Local Government bodies that generate infrastructure and where Private-Public Partnerships have their genesis which explains the ongoing annual interest and the number of product launches held during CIVENEX by exhibitors,” said John.
One of the biggest drawcards of CIVENEX is the live demonstrations. You’ll be able to watch the latest tech in action turning over soil and doing its thing right in front of you, rather than relying on a glossy brochure.
