EXPERIENCE BLUE MOUNTAINS BEAUTY ON NEW GRAND CLIFF TOP WALK

The incredible new Grand Cliff Top Walk in the Blue Mountains on Gundungurra Country is now open, showcasing the magnificent World Heritage-listed natural beauty.

Experience a 2-day adventure traversing the escarpment high above Jamison Valley on the 19km track, starting at Wentworth Falls, passing through Leura and finishing at Katoomba. Along the way is some of Australia’s best mountain scenery, stunning waterfalls, lush rainforest and diverse flora and fauna, passing unique mountain villages and discover Aboriginal culture. Explore sandstone tracks and hand-built hertage trails while immersing in the unique natueal beauty of the Greater Blue Mountains Area World Heritage Property.
Listen for the call of yellow-tailed black cockatoos, named Wumbarrung in Gundungurra language. Wumbarrung is the wayfinding icon for this walk. Significant to traditional custodians, its flight reflects the moods and seasons of Gundungurra Country. The Greater Blue Mountains Area lies within the country of the Dharug, Gundungarra, Wiradjuri, Darkinjung, Wanaruah and Dharawal people. It has great cultural significane to Aboroginal communities, who have a deep and continuing connection to the land. The Three Sisters in one of many highlights along the Grand Cliff Top Walk, and is a declared Aboriginal place.
Follow exhilarating cliff-edge tracks with expansive views for miles across the Jamison Valley. While the unmissable sandstone peaks of the Three Sisters standing proudly on Gundungurra Country will captivate you, it could be more of a challenge to guess which peak is Ruined Castle of Mount Solitary. Gaze over the cliffs and take in the sights from every angle, or look down into deep canyons and gorges that take the breath away.
There's no shortage of waterfalls alomg the Grand Cliff Top Walk. Look out over Jamison Valley while the water of Wentworth Falls plunge 100 metres below. Make the way around to Leura Cascades and enjoy a waterfall with a window-like view across to Mount Solitary. The Gordon Falls lookout near Leura provides a spectacular vantage point to enjoy the magnifinecnt Gordon Falls flow 200 metres into the valley below. The Pretty Pool if Siloam allows you to get up close amid to the Falls amid lush rainforest and picturesque stepping stones.
Though immersed in the jaw-dropping beauty of nature, the Walk is an easy distance from vibrant Blue Mountains villages, including Leura, Wentworth Falls and Katoomba. Discover unique 1920s art-deco architecture and accomodation. Make the most of local shopes, cafes and restruarants, or enjoy an overnight stay.
